Your key learning outcomes for Nutritional Medicine: The Basic Sciences. Now 20% off until 28 August 2023!

It’s often said that the foundations of knowledge are built upon understanding the basics. As the world of medicine evolves, it becomes ever-clearer just how pivotal nutrition and metabolism are in the broader scheme of health. Let us embark on a quest to fill the gaps, enhance our understanding, and drive the best patient outcomes with Nutritional Medicine: The Basic Sciences.

This training will now form part of the prerequisites to the Nutrition Network Certification Pathway!

Your key learning outcomes,

  • Learn more about the diabetic kidney disease: pathophysiology-based lifestyle management
  • Understand the science around the brain and the pathology of addiction
  • Become familiar with pathology in gout and modulating factors
  • Find out about normal liver physiology and pathophysiology
  • Learn about the science of how patient’s eyes might impact their lifespan
  • Become familiar with gastrointestinal: the healthy gut vs. the sick gut, GIT pathology, and leaky gut
  • Become familiar with sciences on insulin and insulin resistance
  • Learn about the brain, metabolism and optimal nutrition normal brain physiology, insulin, and nutrients
  • Gain more insight into vascular diseases
  • Get an overview of the basic biochemistry and physiology of therapeutic carbohydrate restriction and ketogenic diet
  • Become familiar with the science around Lipidology

Presented by national and international medical and allied healthcare experts in their field, on a range of topics related to LCHF nutrition and its implementation into clinical practice. All content is supported by downloadable resources references to relevant journal articles and literature, certificate of completion.

We have built this online training to provide participants with an understanding of the basic science pertaining to nutrition, including the physiological mechanisms that underlie the effects of low-carbohydrate diets on the body and various organ systems.

To be eligible for this training, participants should have a basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology, as well as a general understanding of nutrition and the role it plays in health and disease. They should also have an interest in learning about the latest research and science related to low-carb nutrition. Each lecture will cover largely the anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry for each topic and to their link in the pathology/pathophysiology of common diseases of nutrition with regard to that particular organ.

In essence, while patient care’s complexity involves multi-faceted teams and treatments, the crux remains rooted in basic sciences. Let us champion this cause, not just to enhance our professional prowess but to elevate patient care to its zenith.

Launching 28th August 2023 and is currently open for enrolment at a 20% Early Bird discount.
