Music, health screens and free school supplies at Acme Community Outdoor Festival in Auburn Gresham

CHICAGO (CBS) — A South Side Chicago church is throwing a festival this weekend to get youth out in their group and all set for faculty.

Just one organizer has been going to the fest himself due to the fact he was 5 many years old.

“We are just seeking to get the youth inspired to going back again to college and just to make a constructive change in their lifestyle,” mentioned Jucari Sutton, Chair of Acme Neighborhood Outside Festival.

The function will be held at the Acme Missionary Baptist Church on South Paulina, in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

Thirteen Chicago gospel artists will be accomplishing and church organizers are giving out faculty materials and backpacks, in addition offering wellbeing screenings, dental screenings, haircuts, confront painting and counseling.
