Easter Dinner Menu – Fraiche Living

Easter holds a unique area in my heart. The flowers, the spring-influenced menu, and all the pastel colours have me weak in the knees!  I’m sharing my total Easter Supper Menu as inspiration for you here, so that you can have all the joy minus the stress when entertaining so that you can take pleasure in what issues most (ahem, chocolate …  right!?)

Easter was a Large Deal when we had been increasing up.  My cousins, my brother and I even now chat about the epic Easter egg hunts our mom and dad would put collectively for us that involved a witty scavenger hunt loaded with rhyming clues that would guide us ALL in excess of the garden scratching our heads (they were being tricky!) and eventually to the loot (which was rather impressive for the document, 1 of the added benefits of rising up in the 80’s with less food items ‘rules’).

Quickly forward to now, and we have our personal residences … and our own little ones to spoil (with buckets of adore, of study course)!  Someone notify me, how did that transpire so speedy?  I however truly feel like I must be back-combing my bangs and sliding on my gel sneakers. But I digress.

Easter meal was often fairly predictable and old-fashioned in our family: the standard ham, mashed potatoes, corn, carrots etc… you get the picture.  And though I have zero grievances about traditional meals, I required to do anything various in the way of an Easter menu this yr to give inspiration for entertaining with all of those people awesome spring ingredients in a refreshing new way.

From buckets of spring bouquets to pastel plates and the most cute and simple bunny napkins, we’ve incorporated it all right here along with a printable grocery list, wine pairings, a function-again agenda and a several outfit tips if you are hunting for last minute inspiration.  A bit of preparing goes a very long way in the entertaining section, and if you are new to entertaining, you are going to come across that the much more you do it the a lot easier it receives.

My favorite element about spring has to be the flowers.  And the reality that my toes start to thaw lol. I have been blessed plenty of to get to know the lovely women at Byland’s in Kelowna who supplied these attractive bouquets, and I severely couldn’t halt staring at them.

I assumed it would be useful for me to provide you with a flower tutorial so that you could figure out which types are YOUR favourites and spoil your self and your visitors this Easter.  I used a bunch of distinctive classic milk glass vases (from thrift stores) along with a sweet milk glass pitcher for my centre pieces, and liked how they were beautifully un-matched.

Easter Hostess Plan

Two Days Ahead of:

• Get bouquets
• Acquire wine
• Grocery browsing
• Iron linens
• Make bunny napkins
• Decide outfit!

Just one Day Ahead of:

• Make salad dressing and refrigerate
• Thaw seafood (if using frozen)
• Established table

The Working day Of:

• Early morning:
  • Chill wine (whites and rose)
  • Bake Cake
• Afternoon (a single – two hrs in advance of visitors arrive):
  • Get ready Deviled Eggs but hold filling and egg whites different
  • Get ready salad (do not incorporate the dressing)
  • Prep substances for seafood linguine (have them all all set to be cooked)
• 30 minutes in advance of friends arrive
  • Comprehensive Deviled Eggs and pipe in the filling to every egg white. Retail outlet in fridge right up until guests get there
  • Light-weight candles
