Caramel Peanut Pretzel Bites | The Nutritionist Reviews

Take 5 candy bars have always been my favorite chocolate treat! These Caramel Peanut Pretzel Bites taste just like a Take 5 bar and are so easy to make. They are an awesome holiday gift or can be served at a holiday party. They are crunchy, salty and sweet all in one and will disappear in no time.

Homemade Take 5 Bars

I’ve always been a huge fan of Take 5 bars. The caramel, pretzel, peanut butter and peanut combo is just too delicious! I love that salty sweet taste. I like dark chocolate a lot more than milk chocolate, which is what they typically come with so I decided to make my own version of these bars. I like less chocolate so instead of dipping the pretzels, I just drizzled the chocolate on. When you’re making these, do what works for you!

How to Make Caramel Peanut Pretzel Bites

These Caramel Peanut Pretzel Bites are so easy to make! Just lay the waffle pretzels on a sheet pan, top with caramel candy. Put the pan in the oven for a few minutes to melt the caramel. Then, top with peanuts, peanut butter and dark chocolate. Sprinkle with sea salt if you like.

How to Store Caramel Peanut Pretzel Bites

These homemade Take 5 Caramel Peanut Pretzel Bites can be stored on the counter for about 4 days, or if you need to keep them for longer, store in the fridge or freezer. I would not eat them right out of the fridge or freezer though because the caramel hardens. Enjoy at room temperature for the best texture.

Peanut Nutrition

My family loves using peanuts and peanut butter for breakfast, snacks and meals. Seriously, I don’t think we go one day without eating some sort of peanut product. Peanuts have 7 grams of protein per ounce and 161 calories along with fiber, vitamins and minerals. I love that even though these Caramel Peanut Pretzel Bites are a holiday treat, they have protein from the peanuts and peanut butter making them not too indulgent of a treat. Peanuts and peanut butter also make great donation items for a food pantry if you’re able to contribute this holiday season.
