For day 28 of my “31 of Worldwide Flavors” series, dietitian and good friend Christy Wilson talks about her like for mangos!

Mangos

Christy’s selection just one world-wide taste is mango. It has a tropical, citrus taste that is so juicy and refreshing. Mangos are a minimal bitter, a very little sweet, and a ton scrumptious! There are usually a several kinds of mangos in season all year very long so I can often come across it at my nearby grocery store. Mangos contain fiber, which is great for intestine wellbeing and aids us feel complete and satisfied, and they contain over 20 distinct natural vitamins and minerals like natural vitamins A and C.

Mangos are very flexible and can be eaten by by themselves, merged with other fruits, greens, grains and herbs, or muddled or blended into drinks and desserts. I love eating magos as a dessert or snack with a minimal additional lime juice and my preferred chili lime seasoning, Tajin. As a treat, I puree clean mango and make it into paletas (frozen pops)! I identified that, particularly when my children were youthful, this was a enjoyment way to provide my little ones fruit and they beloved it! I also like mixing diced fresh mango with cucumber, jicama and a very little cilantro for a sweet, clean and crunchy combo. Here’s my recipe for Mango Chile Limon Paletas (frozen pops)– appreciate!
